You guys...I'm over this class-in-the-summer thing.
That's why it's so quiet here!
I'm literally counting down the moments until the Art History class I have to take is over next week. It's a shame, since I really really love the period of Modern Abstraction we're studying (hello, Cubist collage!) - but it's hard to do it when the sun is shining. I finished an essay in a crunch the other day and have about three weeks of reading to catch up on before next week's final. Did I mention it's an acclerated class? Yeah. If I didn't have work on top of it, it would be another story. Or if it was, like, something hands-on instead of textbook-based. Or maybe not...Art history & sunshine just aren't mixing, for me: I'm just looking forward to free nights & house-decorating, next week - and, finally, a break!
Are you learning anything new, yet, this summer?
I just learned just how groundbreaking Picasso's Guitars were, and how much the women in his life infiltrated his work: whether as bowls of fruit or guitars. :)
Oh, and I love Rauschenburg (but this I already knew).
