Our little house (apartment) is sloooowly coming together.
And I mean slowly.
My parents-in-law have been in town for the last few weeks helping us with some electrical stuff, installing a new bathroom faucet, hanging our new tv up so all the wires are hidden - you know, that kinda fun stuff. (We did eat lotsa good food, nap, and see some of the sights in our new neighbourhood, too - yay!). It was a super-nice visit. :)
I'm thanking our lucky stars the place was nearly move-in ready, cuz I have no idea how far back we''d be if we had to reno a whole place! Egads! I just realized there's a month and a half before I'm back in school, so I hope to whip this place into shape and organize everything while enjoying the sunshine, too - it's been gorgeous out here! If only work didn't consume the entire day, right? We managed to fit some good beach/sun time in, so it's been awesome.
We're ordering our desks (finally) tomorrow night, so we can set up our workspace(s) soon. There are still massive piles of boxes and debris everywhere, but it's looking better. Which is so exciting! And I found antlers for my living room wall! All is well in the world.
But in the meantime, I'm not skimping on chill time - this view from my couch never fails to make me smile: blue sky and sunshine streaming over my little garden in the afternoon sun? Ah. Little bit of happy.
PS - first quiet night here while the mister drops the in-laws at the airport = bachelorette. It's the only 'reality' tv I watch, and I'm hooked again this season! I actually got to watch it on the tv (exciting! It's been years...). I'm rooting for Drew.
