We have a little balcony in this new apartment of ours. (We're the weirdos who are so happy to have it that we sit out there every night at least once. I think we might be the only people who do - but for reals, it's awesome). We get sunshine all day, so a container garden it is - yay!
So far I've collected basil, chocolate mint, sage, Italian parsley, and lavender:
(and my strawberries, which are coming back from last year)
Right now, these guys and a bunch of succulents sit waiting to be planted - there are no home/garden stores close, so I have yet to make a run to get dirt, but the rail planters are waiting. I want to finally get them up & in there this weekend!
In the meantime, I'm practicing my green thumb (which needs the practice! hah).
So far, every day either my sage or parsley is droopy - ack!
Are you gardening this year? Have any container gardening tips?
In other news: my summer class is done!!
And I got into (almost) all my preferred 3rd year classes.
I can't even explain in words how awesome it feels to be done with it! lol. That sounds horrible, but it sucks to read textbooks when I'm in dire need of a break, working, the house sits in boxes around me, and the sun is shining. lol. The mister laughs when I mention the first thing I'm going to do is garden (there are much more pressing things, really - but time is of the essence!).
Plus, I love how immediately homey a little green makes our place feel. :)
