Hello, friends! :)
I'm back from the whirlwind month-and-a-half of travels! Mister husband and I had such a great time backpacking around Europe - shrieking at crazy Bulgarian traffic (ahem - that might have just been me), drinking strong homemade liquor, renting multiple scooters in Italy, driving on precarious mountain-top roads (oh, the views!), resting on the lovely Italian coast for longer than we meant to, and topping it off with a much-needed lil visit with my parents. Aaaah.
In France, with a case of the giggles as we explore old towers.
It's bittersweet and exciting to be back home, after what feels like so long!
It's really discombobulating, though...it's kind of a culture shock to be back here, getting groceries and remembering which faucet is what, which door in the house sticks, that I have more than 4 shirts and two pairs of shoes, and - oh yeah...dishes need to be done, again. lol. I'm a bit out of sorts, too, because I contracted an icky cough/cold from the travels abroad - it's a cough that I had nearly fought off for the last three weeks, but it finally got me after a few early mornings last week. Yuck! (Thanks, rude sick coughing guy from the hostel in Rome where the beds were much much too close together).
Anyhoo - as I'm supposed to get back on some sort of non-vacation schedule around here, it's been fun to lay on the couch and have a True Blood season 4 marathon (I'm always a season behind, sans-cable-tv, yo!) despite the fact that this cold is what has me stuck on said couch for the last two days. lol.
I hope you've all had a nice start to summer so far? :)
It's good to be back!! Sooo much to share!
And a ton of Diana Mini film to develop....
