I have a guest post about my garden up over at Amy is the Party, today - hop on over to see it & all the cool blog party posts she has up!
I've been jonesing to share my little garden so much!
Since the peek I gave you (when I took the photos), my little herbs have popped up and are growing like crazy, now and there are tons of teeny flowers! :)
We live in an apartment with no yard whatsoever, and have had a few measly-looking plants for the last few years following us from home to home - I found a vintage dresser to put by my desk that holds all of my fabric and was getting rather sick of the dreary dead plants in the corner (lol), so I moved them atop the dresser on a plastic Ikea tray (so as not to water-log said dresser) and filled my collected-over-a-few-months colorful vintage pots with herb seeds (Coriander, Basil, and Dill for now) and temporarily-potted flowers:
You can read a bit more on how I put things together over at Amy's - my green thumb is still developing (for example, I have no idea what any plant is called, and our sunflower plant is looking really crunchy - I'm not sure if sunflowers just die at this time of year, if we've watered it too much or too little, or what! lol) - but it sure is lovely to have a little bright spot beside my workspace. :)
Could you tell I had too much fun photographing it, too? :) he he.
We have such great light in here...perfect for this lil dresser-top garden.
I'm off today to get a haircut & grab a few essentials (sandals, tank tops) today, since I start work again on Monday and my work-at-home wardrobe is seriously lacking the basics - lol - and then a pop into the nearby fabric shop to stock up on supplies for the big winter craft show & getting back to work is in order! Hope your day is lovely - and full of flowers, too.
