Ahh. The sun was shining here all day - I went for a bike ride and a little jaunt out to the crafty store this morning to get some yarn, and then hopped on the motorcycle with mister husband and took a ride out to Horsehoe Bay for some late afternoon lunch. Love it when summer starts to peek through!
Anyhoo - I need to get better at taking out-and-about photos (still figuring out an easy way to bring the camera on the motorcycle without carrying a backpack = impossible!), and not just craftyness photos, lol - but til then, I'm going to share my latest craft show booth!
Portobello West was last weekend and it was my first Spring show (which means a few weeks of madly making things beforehand). lol. Whew!
I shared a booth with my local crafty friend Bronwen of My Favourite Blanket - we both have a love of bright colors & handmade sewn goodies, so our booth was super-cute! It was fun and busy two days! :)
Some shots from the display around my side of the table:
There was lots of goodness that I finished up just for this show that's new and isn't online, yet - I had a few crocheted garlands up (big & small), new paper goodies (including new Easter and Peter Pan cards!)...
I also debuted some zipper pouches - jumping bunnies & Mr. Moustache:
The little bunnies I shared here during the making-of post:
And some dolls that I'd debuted locally last christmas, but they're not yet online - there's a vintage-loving lady named ''Glasses Franny'', with her signature cat eye lenses and mini beehive bun? And a pirate-hat wearing ''Pirate Betty'' doll!
Below is June (& George), whom many a kid made hold hands - cutest ever!!
A one-of-a-kind embroidered blonde Pirate Betty with dimensional felt sails:
My whole table set-up keeps progressing with every show I do (this was my 3rd), and I love to figure it out a new display! We had this old trunk we found years ago from mister husband's corner empty up with our reorganization of the house, so I nabbed it for my table display and loved how it turned out!
Anyhoo - there's my booth and the new goodness I was busy busy making! :) It's a nice change to do a spring show with sun streaming in the room, and it's always fun to shop with and meet other crafty vendors - I had the *best* handmade Bailey's marshmallows and Sea Salt + English toffee bar from this show from local Cocoa Nymph, too(highly suggested!).
I'll show you a few photos of Bronwen's lovely half of the booth soon, too.
We're already on picture overload, here! lol.
PS - All of the things seen here will be put up in the shop this week - I'm hoping the sun holds out so I can finally photograph them, cuz it was rainy all week!
PPS - I've had a few questions about how to prepare for craft shows, and all the fun stuff that goes along with it. I have a few more shows I'd like to get under my belt, so in mid-May I'll be posting a more in-depth craft-fair-tips post, for you! Feel free to leave questions in the comments, though, and I'll answer em! :)
Here's hoping the sun stays out tomorrow!
I hope you're having a lovely weekend. :)
