Taking a lil break from my own artsy-craftsy-ness today to bring you these ahmaaaazing embroidered book covers, which I'm sure you've already seen around the web. They're so lovely that I'd just like to stare at them all day long!
The 'Emma' one is my favorite. And 'Black Beauty' & 'Secret Garden' were both favorite stories, as a child. :) I think we watched those movies to the bone.
The art is by Jillian Tamaki for Penguin - click over to her blog to see more gorgeous photos of the covers, and some work in progress shots, too! (sigh). What a dream gig, hey? Super-excited to see handmade design being used more and more in lieu of digital - I wish more companies would do the same!

I am brewing up my first coffee of the day (so late!) & about to start wrangling blog ads (lol) and scrapbooking. The sun is streamng through the window and the blossoms are glowing pink outside - it's just lovely! :) Here's to a crafty day!
