Oh, my - I've been craving a good thrift trip, lately. :)
Especially when I stumble across good old finds at home!
I mentioned my wiggling computer chair, the other day - lol - so I need to go, soon, before it gives out! I haven't thrifted in a few weeks, now (I was planning on going this past weekend, but the torrential downpour on Friday changed my mind). I need some hooks and an old lamp for my in-progress bedroom decorating, and I find it inspiring to go and dig around. :)
Speaking of the bedroom, I found this rose needlepoint in my stash the other day, which I'd planned on hanging up in the room. Lovely, isn't she?
I finally hung it up over the weekend, so I now have a cute lil cluster of pieces above the bed: an original Sabrina Ward Harrison canvas I got at the workshop last year (I'll take pictures of this one, it's beautiful & I just treasure it!!), and a bright vintage '80's homemade-framed unicorn needlepoint - I also found another (unframed) rose needlepoint that I'm going to make into a pillow - it's all slowly coming together, I'll try to take pictures as soon as it's pretty! :) he he.
Anyhoo - I have this empty wall that I'm wondering what to do with, across from the bed, and then I saw this, yesterday:
Cross-stitch in Paint by Eline Pellinkhof, found via Sublime Stitching.
Eeek! Isn't it pretty?? Genius! I totally want to do this to my wall, but I have to decide if I want my landlord to hate me or not. lol....If only we owned! (sigh). :)
