I mentioned a few times before Christmas that'd I'd finally had a chance to take my first photo walk & hang out one-on-one with my new-to-me Olympus E-520 DSLR camera - mostly with a push from Viv's lovely self-portrait class, ''You Are Your Own Muse'', but I'd been meaning to learn her for ages!
This was the first time I actually got my winter brights out and played around with some settings on my camera (instead of falling back on the old standby point-and-shoot), and I actually quite like what came out of it - definitely gave myself a little photography pat-on-the-back when all was done.
So here we are finally, the photo-walk-photos:
I've already posted a few of these, so please excuse the repeats!
One of the first exercises in the class was to use some props, so it seems my turquoise vintage dress, fave yellow carry-on, full mug, & yarn goodies were my muse, this go around! I still have a lot to learn (like un-blurry long shots...lol) - but it feels good to have gotten out there and tried, and I have fallen in *love* with the camera now that I've finally given it a chance! Seriously, haven't put it down much. I'm excited to learn more & take more photos this year!!
Also, did you notice that the colors in these photos inspired the current color scheme of my entire blog? he he. The best stuff is pulled from life, I think! :)
Happy day, fellow photo-takers!
I'm totally craving the next photo-walk, now!
