Dude! Thank you guys. For your sweet words. For understanding!
I no longer feel like a phone/communication alien (re: the phone post). lol.
It was kind of scary to hit 'post' on that one, I have to admit - it's always scary putting it out there when it feels like it's just you - so I'm psyched I'm not the only one with phone/communication woes. lol. :) You rock!
Sorry for my absense the last few days here, too - what's becoming a usual weekend quietness - ack! I finished my last day of work on Friday, so I took the liberty of a crochet/couch/girlie movie day - something that is much needed after a contract is over, I think. :) Lovely. mister husband was wondering if I
was feeling okay, being on the couch for so long - sort of an odd sight...lol.
And...It's official.
There have been too many rainy days and almost all the leaves around here seem about to be knocked to the ground from it. Fall is here. All around. Our usual Vancouver wet fall. The colors are brilliant everywhere but draining from the hydrangeas at the same time, it's quite the sight...
We still get the occasional sunny burst, which lets us walk to the beach (undoing the layers piled on because it's warmer than we thought - lol), and allows hubby to wear flip-flops on the sand in November. Love it here, for that.
Our walks usually consist of a slow walk by the nearby lagoon until we reach the beach, where we sit and enjoy the ocean/sunshine on the logs for a bit, so my see-what-you-naturally-take-photos-of first attempt for Viv's 'You Are Your Own Muse' class ended up with a lot of feet. Oh, I do love to shoot the feet.
I took all of these with the so far sort-of neglected Olympus E-520 DSLR that I am determined to learn, and am quite happy with my intentional blurs (yes, I do love those, too) and focusing. lol. Small steps! Patting myself on the back. :)
A billion more things to photograph & type & do this week, can't wait to share!
Anyhoo - I hope you had a lovely weekend & enjoyed your fall days! :)
And if you're checking back, I'll be blogging at night this week (so as not to waste those precious daylight sewing hours) so look for fresh new goodness early in the morning - or if you're up in the wee hours! lol.
