Finding it hard to focus on what needs to be/should be done when the couch is nearby and there are crafts to play with for no good reason. Crafts that are being made just for the fun of it, not for a project or a deadline.
She's had this little pattern in her mind for months and months, for her living room so she started it yesterday when she was supposed to be working. he he.

She is obviously finding it hard to get back into the work-at-home schedule.
But she's okay with that. It's always hard with so many comfy and tempting distractions around. She is thinking that yellow embroidery hoop is the best vintage find - it's so sturdy! She is wanting to scrapbook. Supposed to be blog-party planning and sketching and shop-updating, but the allure of a day off is much too great and all camera batteries have died, as has the sunny-day light.
She woke up to large cartoon-like snowflakes floating outside, perhaps somebody is sprinkling soap flakes out their window? Oh, no. That's snow (that's how often it snows here, lol). She is aching to go thrift shopping and buy sky blue tights. Going to start making more paper, soon. Still replying to e-mails. Noshing on cookies she made yesterday. In love with 'Eat Pray Love' (Julia & Javier are lovely) which she watched while starting this embroidery yesterday. She is hoping for a puppy, because the place in her heart that misses one dearly is growing and growing and is almost unbearable. She is thinking it's the perfect cold-inside-even weather to snuggle under a blankie and watch talk shows and finish stitching this octopus (maybe even crochet?) and put things off for one more day, pretending she's on vacation. She needs that once in a while. :)
She will make a list tommorrow (or when the sun goes down at 4:30 -ugh) and create new balance for herself. But until then, she'll indulge in a little making just-for-fun. She just can't bring herself to sit at her computer when the light is streaming in, today. Just can't do it.
What are you up to, this fine Wednesday?
