I found this sweet little cross-stitched piece at the thrift shop last weekend for
12 cents, and it sits on my desk waiting to be hung - making me smile with it's miniature-ness. Lovely. 12 cents?? :) Yesss.
I love when I come across a little handmade treasure like that, just sitting in a random pile, sifting through as I wait for check-out. It's about 2.5 inches wide, and it will look perfect on my wall-of-frames in the living room, which I just realized I haven't shared - mostly because the frames are still empty. lol. (though they do look okay empty, they have so much character...)
I've been so quiet on weekends here on the blog, lately! They just fly right by me - really, really. My apologies if you checked back. I didn't get anything done that I meant to, but it was lovely. I'm quite proud of myself for doing that, these last few weekends. Ignoring the list & having fun & napping & reading. :)
I'm hoping to have a moment tonight to share much-needed-to-be-posted posts like Sabrina, Dottie, Making of Peter Pan & Halloween. Hope, hope. Not enough time in a day! I'm ready for a big ol nap already, but they frown upon that at work, I've heard. lol.
I just finished reading my late-to-the-library 'Her Fearful Symmetry' which I'd been waiting for *forever* to get my hands on. I loved it. Audrey's my favorite.
Anyhoo, Halloween post coming tonight - I'll share my costume!
Til then - happy day!
