Hi, guys! How was your weekend?
My little sister & her friend happened to be in town from Calgary and stopped by for a quick visit on Saturday (yay!) and we ended up going to the aquarium to check out the beluga whales & sharks & touch sea anemones! :) So fun!
(That would be us with the peanut butter bear outside the aquarium - every hug = a peanut butter jar donated to the food bank + a free polaroid! Win win, hey? We got 3 taken...he he. It made me jones for my own polaroid even more!)
I was *supposed* to be working on illustrations all weekend, but after the aquarium I wanted to keep taking advantage of the lovely sunny day, so I headed down the block out to the beach for a few hours to read & nap. I worked and stitched and drew the rest of the night & well into Sunday, stopping to go grab groceries & yummy baked Capers' breakfast goodies. I stitched and stitched and watched some old True Blood (thank goodness for dvd's, hey?) and we rented 'Date Night' and I worked until I got a massive cut from my needle somehow last night on my stitching finger. lol. Sign to stop.
Not too crazy exciting, but we both had work to catch up on (oh, to be a freelance-worker) & there was enough sun that I was happy. :) Plus, it's always cool to be making progress & working on the same project together!
Anyhoo - work is nuts - I have two ginormous episodes due today and have only just been able to start them, and I somehow have to plan the weekend & call possible places to stay, then when I go home I need to finish the artwork for the illustrations so I can composite them digitally tomorrow. Whew! Wish me luck!
Hope to be back later tonight with a crafty post - I can't wait til a few days from now when my projects are all done & all that's on my plate is crocheting and long-weekend-enjoying! Eeek! :) It can't come soon enough!
Happy busy Monday to you!
