Ack! No pirate Friday, today. :( No time! lol.

It's been a nutty, crazy-busy week, blog friends! lol. I'm running around in circles trying to tick late deadlines off and working when I didn't expect to be called in and tying up all the loose ends before we head out for our weekend.

This is said Easter weekend away that got cancelled due to bad weather/an inability to fly out to Vancouver Island, so I'm excited that we could rebook and re-go - even if this weekend does feel terribly rushed and not ideal. lol. We've both been so busy trying to squish it in!

But - loose ends are tied (this is my last one!), and I'm excited to be chilling out in Tofino at the spa for the weekend. I'm nursing a crazy mix of allergies and impending cold, too, so sleep and R& R will be a good thing!

Anyhoo - I'll announce the winners of the mid-month giveaway when I get back on Sunday (sorry, guys! Nothing like a little anticipation, right??).

Told ya, I was scrapbooking like a crazy girl last week! lol. These pages were made using the Pink Ninja's lovely April kit. :) It's awesome!

I have so much to share right now, it's crazy hard not to blog 10 times a day. ha ha. Well, I don't have nearly that much spare time (though I wish I did!) The end of the month = things are due in mass quantities! Plus, going away this weekend means squishing the mass quantities + packing into 2 more days. Agh! lol. I really wish I had a weekend to just work, right about now...silly as that sounds!

Pink Ninja Blog Hop + A New Page.

Hello, hello! I just got in from Seattle - as posted a few hours ago (yesterday?) now, but thanks to the fabulous internet & the wonder that is scheduled blog posts, here I am with a little Pink Ninja blog hop, already! Yay!

Little Inspirational Design Tips I Used On My Page:

- rethink the use of envelopes on your pages! I love the ties on these ones so much, I ignored the pocket part & just used them for their cute closures

- little stitched accents are a great way to tie colors together! I used little yellow stitches made using embroidery floss to pull together the compass accent and light yellow background, as well as using random orange and blue stitching to reinforce the color's presence throughout the page

Aah. Sabrina Ward Weekend = Wonderful.

Hello, blog friends! :)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I just got back home from Seattle a few hours ago via bus (via looong sleeping-in-and-out bus) and am feeling beyond inspired and sleepy and a whole mess of lovely things. :) Beautiful!

The Sabrina Ward Harrison workshop was beyond amazing - I couldn't have imagined something more perfect! I have a new outlook and some new tools for spilling and getting messy and making stuff. A new outlook on lots of things.

I've fallen back in love with poetry (it seems I'd forgotten how lovely poetry can be!) I let go. I followed my heart. I wandered a little. I met lots of amazing creative ladies and had a fun little adventure out on my own (and went to Anthropologie and shopped, too, of course! Eeek!).

I will share all of these things once I get my bearings and am back in the swing of things, of course. :) Which I promise will be a few days and not weeks....lol. I want to document it while it's fresh and new & amazingly detailed, still.

I am trying my best not to be overwhelmed with the behind-ness of things around here and simply feel like reflecting anf smiling and hugging hubby amd falling into bed and taking care of my soul before the busy week ahead, right.

In the meantime, my new also-lives-in-Vancouver crafty friend, Vivienne, whom I met in person at the workshop (yay!), posted some amazing photos of little snippets of her Saturday while there that you must see!

She can rock the camera, so go give her some love!

And, whew! I've been running around like a crazy lady for the last day and so trying to catch up and finish projects and do as much as I can before I head out to the workshop in Seattle this weekend. I literally am waiting for my cab that will hopefully be fast to the bus depot and therefore give me enough time to eat before I hop on the bus. lol. 

Lotsa good crafty stuff to share next week, starting with some scrapbook pages & a blog hop when I get back, and then hopefully tons of photos from the weekend!
