Well, hello! I've finally unburied myself out of piles of boxes and yellow paint and clothes spilling out of new closets and here I am to say hello! Finally...yes. lol. It's been a bit! The move (now two weeks ago - ah!) went well...really fast, actually, with only a few scratches and no ikea furniture casualties. :) Yay!
To sum it up, we: moved and enjoyed pizza with the pals who helped on the new building's roof. Admired our new retro pink bathroom and lovely wood floors. Were amazed at all the space we have to move around in now (yay! How we lasted for so long in that one room, I will never know...). Painted our big wall a lovely warm yellow (3 coats of lovely warm yellow, egads!). Found a dresser to refurbish, some desks to paint, and picked up a fab fold-out vanity mirror to make a makeshift vanity with the found dresser. Set up our computers and work areas. Worked a lot at work. Painted one of the desks. Cleaned all found furniture. Ate some yummy food and watched "The Wrestler" (Sad, but good. Mickey Rourke rocked it!). Caught up on The Hills. Curbed the weekend e-mail addiction (been too busy to check!). Saw an indie metal band at a dive pub (they rocked!). And i'm sure there's a ton more I've missed - what a whirlwind!
And I have to, still: Finish unpacking the last few boxes. Buy some house stuff (our popcorn popper died and we have 3 small drinking glasses left..ha ha). Move my computer out of the hot direct (but ) sunlight. Have a rooftop barbeque. Decorate the living room, kitchen and bedroom. Workout consistently. Update the shop. Catch-up on e-mails. Go to the craft store. And so on and so on and so on.
Whew! It's coming along, the new place! We're still amazed at the space we have, now...and we're now a block up from the beach and at the end of our street it's Stanley park. :) There's this Blue Heron nesting site there, too, and we have a raccoon friend that naps in the tree across the street - so cute! Love it, love it!
Anyhoo - my work contract was extended until the end of May, so all the side projects and such have been pushed back, also, til this intense job is over. :) Which means the store is also in dire need of an update, so hopefully I can get on that this weekend! Watch for a new Monster print and paper tags to be landing there very soon - I've had them done forever, just haven;t had the chance to post them up!
And now that my desk is cleared, I have to indulge in some making-stuff so I'm playing with my Dozens' kit April and should have pages done and up, soon! It just rock - and of course it does, it's fittingly called "Where the Wild Things Are" - soooo rad! It's just what I've been craving!
