Oh, goodness! It's been busy, supah-busy. But, fab sale news!! I haven't had a sale (a big sale) in the shop yet, and the biggest American shopping weekend has me in the discounting spirit! Woot! So, if you've been jonesing for an embroidery pattern or set of paper tags, you still need a few last stocking stuffers, or you need holiday cards to send out, now's your chance!

Everything in the store is "Buy Two, Get One Free"! Yay! The sale runs Friday, Nov. 28th through Monday, Dec. 1.  You can mix and match items, and use it as many times as you want! After checkout, you will be refunded the free item amount (of equal or lesser value) fairly (ie, if you have 3 items at $18.95 and one at $4.95, I'll give you one of the $18.95's for free - yay!).

If the items you want are 'sold out' or you need more than is listed, please look through the sold items, find what you would like, and send me a list: I'll make a listing especially for you! Everything sold between Friday and Monday will be sent by December 3rd and will arrive before Christmas from Canada! Happy shopping! :)

Yay, new goodies! I was hoping to have a few more things done (mainly pirate earrings...eek!) but then I overestimated how much I could do before the craft fair this weekend, and I was called into the studio today...he he. So, next week "12 Day of Christmas" shop deals should see the appearance of a few more goodies, too (including christmas stickers and paper tags!).

As for my week, that about sums it up! Hah...no really, it was crafty craziness. I stitched up a cute new monster zippy pouch that I'm dying to share and embroidered a pirate! I was up til 3:30 last night doing last minute deets: the craft fair is 10-4 for the next few days, and then I can just chill. :) We're going to have a much needed night at home doing nothing, and then out to see a Rock Orchestra (who supplied us with the music for our stop motion film!) on Sunday, woot! And I'm super-excited bout my first craft fair ever! And I hope all of my lovely American friends had a great Thanskgiving! More craftiness soon!

Do Bee Do

Oh, gosh....I can't believe the Hills on Monday!! Just when Justin Bobby was finally being nice to Audrina, she goes all psycho on him and Lauren...duuude...isn't it part and parcel to roll with silly rumors like that when you're famous? Anyhoo - silly. MTV changed channels here a few days ago and we didn't have it for a bit (...was starting to go into withdrawls, man..) and then Z found it, so we've caught up on the shows! Woot!

Sooo..what's new? I'm making some 80's-inspired Christmas Cards right now, working on shipping date cut-offs and craft fair stuff and organizing sales for the weekend! Yes, my American friends (and my fellow Canadians!!) There will be an all-weekend Black Friday sale! Yay! We don't have Black Friday here in Canada, we have Boxing Day sales the day after Christmas...but a sale can't hurt anybody, right? he he...stay tuned! I just have to print and photo-shoot and list a bunch of new stuff in the shop to get ready for it, details will be posted soon!

Got a notice that my new computer shipped out today -yay! I'm giddy like a school girl and amazed I haven't smashed the one I have to bits after working on it all day yesterday...test of the ol patience, I tell ya...and somebody needs to tell Dell that techie guys shouldn't work the phone lines, their customer service sucks!! lol...

Anyhoo, back to the crafty stuff...I picked up my November Red Velvet Kit from the post office last night and got to play with it - here's what I made:

It was one of my fave kits of the year, I tell ya! :) If you still have it laying around at home, I hope you're inspired! You can check out what the other DT girls did here and there are still kits to nab here, too. :) Speaking of, have you seen the Red Velvet December kit? It looks soooo yummy and fun!

Hah. Dude...Fun stuff...nothing like indie stop motion! We won "Best Editing" and made it into the top 4 films this time around, losing our 'defending champions' stance from last year *sniff*...lol. But seriously, the winners this year were at a whole new level then the rest of the competition - they rocked it! :)

The Mondays...

Oh, the Mondays..Not saying I have a case of  'the Mondays', but even being home now and having a  hard time distinguishing between weekends and weekdays, there's just something about Monday that feels like, well...the beginning of the week! Ugh...maybe its because my desk is a crazy mess and some hurricane came through splattering paint and paper scraps all over, or maybe its that my list to-do is huge and I have a whole bunch of stuff to make for the upcoming craft fair I'm in on Saturday and Sunday (I have no Christmas products finished yet and about 10 things to fill my table with...lol...ahhh!)...oh my. I'ma be busy until then trying to finish a bunch of stuff!

I have a bunch of other stuff to share (like embroidered pirates and sewing projects and new drawings...), but, so as not to bombard this post with a thousand things, I'll just spill a few things today.....

First, I was a featured artist in the last Scrap N Art Ezine that came out this month - a huge thanks to Charity and the girls there for writing such a cute article! :) You can download it on the website if you want to read more about my scrapbooking and such, you have to sign up at Scrap N Art to download it, but its free! Annnd....Mr. Anxious Woodsman has proved to be a popular little dude, but I do realize that not everyone is a fan of crazy bright colors like I am, so I made a neutral, woodgrain-packed version of him that's now up in the shop!

Annnd....I'll be having a giveaway of the Purple Onion stamps I designed starting tomorrow - stay tuned to win a set of those cuties!! Kay, enough eye candy for one day! lol...have a fab one, guys! :) I'm officially kicking myself off of the net and getting back to business! :)

Oh, yeah...

Oh, dude...I am super, super excited about something...a very very cool something...I've been elated and giddy all day long!! Eeek! We're going to the chocolate buffet tonight - I looked it up on the net and its called the "Chocoholic's buffet" and I haven't been there in a few years...and..omigosh!! It rocks! We're talking tables full of chocolate fountains, chocolate drink menus, handmade fresh crepes, cakes, cakes, and more cakes...yum! If you haven't guessed by now, I'm a total chocoholic. I think, growing up, my answer to the question "What's you favorite food?" was always chocolate...ha ha.  It still is...

So that's the most exciting news of the week! Yay! lol...today I am home again, and I managed to catch up on a few things on my to-do list but its still crazy long! Always is...and it doesn't help that I'm still stuck on this old piece of junk! I ordered a new one from Dell a few days ago and still haven't gotten the order confirmation e-mail...maybe I mussed up ordering and am waiting for nothing? lol..

Anyhoo, one of those things I finished is the first set of stickers for the shop - yay! :) I hand-illustrated all of these guys and hand-cut them. They're super cute and bright and textured, love em!

And they have matching paper tag friends, too! :)


And I just have so much fun designing the packaging, too...Whee!Okay, okay...I know, I'm stuck on fall. But Thanksgiving is still around the corner for my American friends, right? :) It's never too late for an acorn/smiley mushroom - even if the air feels like it'll snow any minute! Embroidery Rocks...

 Ahh...yes! I do take days off, believe it or not! :) lol...On anniversary Monday Z and I took a day and did hang-out-together stuff (well,  we always hang out together, anyway...lol...but you know)...we went and had a fab Italian lunch/dinner, complete with yummy dry red wine and tiramisu, and then we rolled on over to the art gallery..cept we only had 20 minutes there before it closed, but still..it rocked. Must go back very soon! :) And then we headed to the theatre and saw the new James Bond. Yay! Super fun!

Anyhoo, I'm working at the studio today...which is a little odd after a week off...lol...but its good! :) Quiet and lonely, but busy good! I only have a few hours left there between now and, well, January...gotta get working on my portfolio! Eeep!

Annnd....finally, some stuff from Bubbly Shnooks is ready to be shared! :) Here's the funnest thing I've ever embroidered! "Hearts Aflame For You":Oh, man - was that ever the best to embroider!! I love cool patterns, they're hard to come by aside from the ever-fab Sublime Stitching. Mucho kudos to Jess at Funky Finds, too, for suggesting that these prints would make fab embroidery patterns - as soon as I read her comment, I was like..."Dude! How did I not think of that??" and I got to stitching right away! Love em, love em.

Being a baby to embroidery, myself, I am constantly on the lookout for not-run-of-the-mill patterns, so to help contribute to the good of happy cool crafters everywhere, "Ol Shifty the Pirate", "Hearts Aflame for You", and "Anthropoid Elvis" are the prints that made it into embroidery patterns: And (yay!) they're on sale until November 26th for $5.25 each (printable .pdf versions and hard copies!) right here! Perfect for stocking stuffers, if I do say so myself, for the young grandma-hearted girl in your life. :) I'm currently stitching Mr. Cool Monkey, and he rocks, too.

Watch for more fun goodies debuting very soon (as soon as I have a day to catch-up at home!), as well as a rad sale for Black Friday and a 12 days of Christmas sale starting December first, too! :) Lots of yummy store stuff coming up - its just so fun! I'll also be looking for guest designers eventually and will be posting a call for those interested in a few weeks, too. Yay!
